Personally, I would like more fruit for it comes across a little too austere. The palate is medium bodied with light blackberry, a little tough in the middle. Age has not softened this Batailley and it still feels unapologetically foursquare on the finish. Not bad, but it does not feel as if it is going anywhere interesting. Tasted at the chteau. Neal
